Within our Prime Video Global Operations team, we’re looking for a results-driven planning professional to help develop Amazon PV’s Operations, Planning & Analysis capability. In this role, you will be responsible for taking insights and Voice of Customer input from marketing and business teams, finance, HR, strategy, product, and tech to develop and own new forecasting, pipeline review, and workforce planning mechanisms for Amazon PV.

This individual has proficiency in employing analytical insights, strong business operations fundamentals and good judgment. This individual will also provide thought leadership against future modeling capabilities and programs that enable the acceleration of revenue growth, improved operational efficiencies & delivery. Ultimately, the individual will be responsible for a sub-business level forecast in service of predictably accelerating work delivery and enhancing the customer experience. In this role, you will be responsible for using operational, marketing, and human capital data and leveraging tools and expertise to map enterprise strategies into actionable delivery plans. You will influence data driven business decisions that results in quantifiable outcomes, understanding complex business relationships, and developing a correlation between your work and PV’s P&L.

You will bring a mix of experience including complex global product management, senior stakeholder engagement, cross-functional collaboration, strategic planning, operational planning, and process improvement. Key job responsibilities

  • Own demand forecasting, prioritization analysis, and resource growth needs for internal PV delivery teams.

  • Optimize workforce demand and supply models for a complex and matrixed organization to influence strategic growth and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Collaborate with PV leaders, Finance teams, Operations teams, Marketing teams, Talent Acquisition teams, and other critical stakeholders to drive alignment on forward looking workforce plans that ensure the business has the right workforce in the right places, at the right times

  • Support and drive the workforce planning strategy for PV to optimize employee mix, job level, and function that aligns to business goals

  • Drive workforce planning mechanism adoption and develop feature roadmap to improve workforce demand model accuracy and insights

  • Prepare management reporting and monitor performance by collecting, analyzing and summarizing performance data and trends, identifying and resolving problems and developing recommendations

  • Prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment and highly-matrixed organization

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, industrial & organizational psychology, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management and demonstrated delivery and ownership of program strategy/roadmap in a complex or matrixed environment

  • Prior background in operational or similar work for business-critical services, including estimating resource requirements, headcount planning, defining metrics, and driving improvements to processes

  • Cross-team collaboration skills and effective written and verbal communication skills when interfacing with stakeholders, peers and executives

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements and influence decision-making

  • Knowledge of Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advance Degree (MS/MBA) in the field of organizational behavior, human resources, analytics, operations or strategy

  • Experience in large scale workforce, operations, or capacity planning functions

  • Experience working with data analytics and visualization using tools like SQL, SAS, Tableau, PowerBI, or Quicksight

  • A record of customer advocacy and ability to influence without authority

  • Experience engaging with and influencing senior executives

  • Prior experience in media & entertainment or marketing operations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
