Missile Defense Agency Budget Analyst in Dahlgren, Virginia

Summary The position(s) covered by this vacancy announcement is in the Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). For more information please see: AcqDemo This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Responsibilities This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. As a Budget Analyst at the NH-0560-2 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include: Research laws, policies, regulations and reference material analysis information, selects appropriate approach and recommends corrective action for program efficiencies. Work with program office and other stakeholders to ensure compliant execution of Agency funding Apply data analysis techniques to identify efficiencies and improvements in Agency financial operations Leverage knowledge of financial databases and related acquisition, property, and other business systems to improve operations, reporting, and traceability of business transactions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the NH-02, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-1/GS-04 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Research and analyze information related to the federal budget process to support budget formulation and execution. Experience with budgeting requirements by allocating, monitoring and analyzing budgets in compliance with statutory/regulatory guidance. Apply the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE), fiscal law, policies, regulations, principles, standards and procedures to financial management activities. AND In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Education Requirements for the 0560 series as listed below: B. Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor degree in an accredited college or university. C. You have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than four years of education in B. You have computed the percentage of the requirement that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education by the first year by 18. Add the two percentages The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify? FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
