Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Dallas, Texas

Description We are recruiting an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Dallas, Texas. This role involves maintaining responsibility for the full accounts payable cycle, investigating discrepancies, and assisting in the preparation of monthly reports. The job also requires participation in special projects as needed and the ability to contribute to process improvements and problem-solving efforts. This is a contract-to-hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, which includes the 3-way PO matching process, coding of general ledger account information, and data entry of invoices.

• Investigate and reconcile invoice and PO discrepancies.

• Process new vendor request forms and implement vendor edits.

• Conduct monthly expense report audits.

• Prepare monthly AP Metrics reports.

• Assist in month-end general ledger entries and account reconciliation.

• Respond to audit requests.

• Perform AP administration functions as needed.

• Participate in special projects as required.

• Utilize accounting software systems such as IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Microsoft Excel, and Smartsheet to carry out tasks.

• Use skills such as Accounts Payable (AP), Check Processing, Data Entry, and Discrepancy management to enhance job performance. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400

• Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to manage Check Processing

• Proficient in Data Entry

• Ability to resolve Discrepancies

• Experience with Dynamics, Dynamics Ax, Dynamics GP

• Knowledge of MS Great Plains Dynamics

• Familiarity with Smartsheet

• Proven experience in the manufacturing industry

• Ability to work in a team, as well as independently

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
