Robert Half Bookkeeper in Dallas, Texas

Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team based in San Diego, California. This remote role predominantly focuses on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, with a heavy emphasis on the use of NetSuite. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications to maintain efficient operations

• Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate

• Address and resolve customer credit inquiries promptly

• Monitor customer credit accounts and initiate actions to collect delinquent payments

• Handle Accounts Receivable tasks, managing dozens of clients and processing mainly credit card payments and some ACH

• Undertake a small amount of collections, majorly credit cards

• Utilize NetSuite for various functions, including managing automatic credit limits and recording all receipts

• Handle Accounts Payable tasks, including overhead, traffic, and commission payments

• Conduct AP accrual at month-end, monitor AP/AR inboxes, approve overhead bills, and manage AP runs

• Use your own computer or one provided by the company, with the flexibility to work according to a schedule that overlaps with PST for at least 3 hours.

Skills:

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proven experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in using NetSuite. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper

• Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting software

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles

• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

• Proficiency in English and in MS Office

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to handle confidential information

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be considered a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred.
