We, at Leggett & Platt Flooring Products, are searching for a Business Development Representative to support our Tred-MOR Hospitality group. Did you know Leggett & Platt Inc. is the largest manufacturer of carpet cushion and hard surface underlayment in the United States? Our Flooring businesses manufacture and distribute foam, rubber, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial use. Our flooring underlayment products provide support, cushioning, and noise reduction under virtually any finished flooring material in your home or business. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.
This remote role works to develop opportunities with targeted stakeholders within the hospitality industry while also qualifying hospitality and commercial project leads accessed and updated in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
So, what will you be doing as a Business Development Representative?
Drive business growth through new accounts, partnerships, and market expansion in the hospitality and commercial construction industries
Connect with project stakeholders to qualify opportunities and gain a deeper understanding of the flooring products being used, or intended to be used, on the project
Reach out to stakeholders through outbound calls and email and identify key project contacts and decision makers for product specification
Build strong relationships with the internal sales and support teams
Document all communications and activities in the CRM
Work open opportunities through completion and purchase order
Provide feedback on improving the CRM platform
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent experience
Knowledge of CRM software
Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & SharePoint)
Must be able to work independently
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to stay organized and multi-task on various projects
Previous experience with negotiations
Understanding of sales performance metrics
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize simultaneous requests
Ability to travel on occasion
Things we consider a plus:
Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365
Prior work in FF&E procurement or contracting environment
Experience with on-site group presentations
