The Business Systems Analyst – Supply Chain combines warehouse management process expertise and technology knowledge of warehouse management systems to facilitate the translation of business needs into system solutions. This individual will play a critical role as a business partner in the Supply Chain organization to understand business imperatives, perform feasibility analysis and to translate the business needs into requirements and functional specifications.

This position may be located in the following cities: Grand Rapids, MI – Murray KY or Dallas TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a culture of continuous process improvement

  • Create and ensure safe workplace environments in accordance with all Bunzl policies; promote a culture of safety first and lead by example

  • Utilize LEAN techniques to develop business process designs and guide operations improvements via process re-engineering efforts.

  • Leads the thoughtful design of engaging solutions by utilizing user-centric design techniques and considering the overall user experience.

  • Proactively identifies improvement opportunities (productivity/efficiency gains, cost savings, etc.).

  • Generates new ideas, gains alignment, and influences decisions within and outside team, aware of the bigger picture across the Supply Chain.

  • Supports solution testing efforts by developing test plans, coordinating the test execution, and reviewing test results.

  • Drive solutions from buy in, development, and testing through deployment with excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with users

  • Create and deliver user documentation as necessary to ensure proper use of changed and newly implemented solutions.

  • Make WMS configuration changes to support business processes

  • Communicate ideas, objectives, approach, options, and plans to audiences with confidence

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, in Computer Science, MIS, Supply Chain, Logistics Management and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Ability to work independent or in a team environment

  • Effective communicator and ability to manage through influence

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of end-to-end supply chain functional processes with strong business acumen in Distribution and Warehouse Management systems.

  • Supply Chain systems (WMS, LMS & TMS) experience a plus.

  • Experience with HighJump / Koerber preferred.

  • Familiarity with Material Handling equipment and technologies (WCS, WES, CCS, AMRs, and AGVs). 6 River Systems and Fetch Robotics preferred.

  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycle

  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, organization, prioritization, team building, conflict management and time management skills

  • Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively connect with both business and technical IT teams

  • Skilled in use of Microsoft suites of Office products, specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project; Expert level preferred

  • System / process implementation experience preferred.

  • Travel 25% of the time in support of leading change across the warehouse network

  • PMP certifications a plus

  • APICS/ASCM certifications a plus

  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form with management, internal and external customers.

  • Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.

  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills
