Staxmatic, LLC Commercial Construction Plumbing Superintendent in Dallas, Texas

Overview: As a Commercial Construction Plumbing Superintendent, you will oversee and coordinate all plumbing activities for large-scale commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for managing plumbing crews, ensuring compliance with project specifications, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment.

    Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise plumbing work ranging from small basic commercial installations to large complex projects involving multiple plumbing systems across multiple job sites.

  • Provide leadership and direction to field teams, ensuring work is completed to high quality standards and within specified timelines.

  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors as needed to facilitate efficient project execution.

  • Schedule and manage day-to-day job activities of helpers and subcontractors in accordance with project scopes of work.

  • Monitor and resolve issues related to work procedures, complaints, damages, accidents, and delays to ensure smooth project progress.

  • Maintain a daily log of job site operations and report progress to management as required.

  • Implement approved changes to project operations as directed by Project Managers or Operations Managers.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, submitting required safety reports to the job site or General Contractor (GC).

  • Interpret blueprints and drawings to plan and oversee the layout of plumbing, waste disposal, and water supply systems.

  • Develop cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project expenses.

  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and construction management teams to establish project budgets and timelines.

  • Manage multiple job sites simultaneously, traveling between locations to oversee operations and manage project workflows.

  • Identify and resolve problems and conflicts as they arise, organizing meetings and collaborating with team members in various roles.

  • Coordinate materials and equipment deliveries with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely availability.

  • Arrange inspections or schedule inspectors to meet safety and compliance regulations at each job location.

  • Perform any other projects or duties as assigned by management.

    Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Texas Plumbing Journeyman License required, additional education or certification in plumbing, construction management, or related field preferred.

  • EPA Universal and OSHA 30

  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years of proven experience as a Plumbing Superintendent or similar role in commercial construction projects, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and installation practices.

  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.

  • Experience using project management software and tools to track progress, manage resources, and communicate effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and achieving project goals.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
