Robert Half Controller in Dallas, Texas

Description We are seeking a Controller to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee all accounting operations and assist with the budget process. This includes managing the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and developing strategies to improve the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Credit.

• Assist with the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.

• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.

• Support month-end and year-end close processes.

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

• Assist external auditors with yearly audit process.

• Implement and manage the company’s ERP system as it relates to financial operations.

• Conduct financial analysis, modeling, and cost management.

• Partner with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and drive profitability. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position

• Proficiency in Financial Reporting is required

• Must have a strong understanding of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Knowledge of General Ledger operations is vital

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a must

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification is a plus

• Excellent communication and leadership skills are required

• Must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is necessary

• Proficiency in financial software and databases is required

• Availability to work extended hours when necessary.
