Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Entry Level Assistant Purchaser to join our purchasing team. In this role, you will assist in purchasing products and services on behalf of our organization, while ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and delivery dates. With your efficiency and practical knowledge, you will help our team to meet its objectives by ensuring a steady and timely supply of products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supplier sourcing, negotiation and procurement of goods and services.

  • Prepare and review purchase orders to ensure accuracy; submit and follow-up on approval processes.

  • Check shipments to ensure the correctness of quality, quantity, and type of goods received.

  • Update, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports, and price lists.

  • Coordinate with the shipping department to ensure all products arrive in a timely manner.

  • Communicate with suppliers, partners, and internal departments to rectify delays or variances of supply chain processes.

  • Address any problems with purchase goods and services.

  • Understand and manage personal performance on agreed KPIs.

  • Contribute to the team's performance to ensure that strategic, quality, and budgetary goals are achieved.

  • Develop an understanding of the business challenges faced by our stakeholders and provide purchasing support to meet these challenges.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in a purchasing role is advantageous.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
