Spark Power Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas
Spark Power, a trusted partner in power in North America, is looking for a Staff Accountant for our Fort Worth-Dallas office. The Staff Accountant role is responsible for maintaining accounting books and records for financial reporting purposes, as well as the underlying supporting documentation. Responsibilities also include the preparation of financial information and analysis as required for financial statement preparation, audit requests, and taxing authorities.
What you will be doing as a Staff Accountant:
Prepare financial statements and analysis with supporting documentation
Analyze financial reports
Maintain company accounting procedures and processes
Interface with Director of Finance, internal customers and auditors
Develop procedures to improve efficiency
Assist with planning, budgeting and forecasting process
Assist with audit requests, schedules, etc., as well as sales and use tax filing, compliance, etc
Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for various tax authorities
Prepare bank reconciliations in NetSuite
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
Assist with preparation of payroll entries
Review general ledgers and participate in month-end/year-end close processes
Ensure compliance with all internal processes
Prepare intercompany reconciliations and schedules
Ad hoc analysis & reports as required

Do you have the Spark? Here's what we're looking for:
Experience – 2-3 years of general accounting experience
CPA Designation or working towards a CPA is preferred
Proficiency in English and in-depth knowledge of MS Office Suite
Proficiency with accounting software, Oracle NetSuite a plus
Reliability, discretion, and confidentiality required
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost accounting
Able to analyze and interpret financial records and research technical accounting issues
Familiarity with payroll and payroll taxes is a plus
