Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Restaurants & Catering industry in Dallas, Texas. The selected candidate will be instrumental in maintaining and improving fixed assets, handling lease accounting, financial reporting, reconciling chargebacks, and other accounting-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve fixed asset schedules and related depreciation

• Handle all aspects of lease accounting including creating lease schedules and maintaining property tax schedules

• Update and consolidate financial reports for company-wide distribution

• Reconcile chargebacks and follow up with merchants

• Organize and follow up with accounting-related notices and mail

• Review general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness

• Validate and support ending balances each period

• Review and prepare ending inventory entries

• Reconcile restaurant level cost of goods with financial reports

• Manage balance sheet accounts to ensure expenses are recorded properly

• Calculate and submit monthly sales & use tax and alcohol tax returns for various states and municipalities

• Assist with all journal entries to record the company’s operating activity and changes in assets and liabilities

• Serve as a liaison to Directors of Operations, General Managers, and other Departments as needed for inquiries regarding various accounts.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close

• Proficiency in NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Demonstrable experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with maintaining the General Ledger

• Ability to record accurate Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in the use of NetSuite software

• Familiarity with Oracle accounting software

• Experience using QuickBooks for accounting tasks

• Knowledge of SAP for accounting and financial management

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving abilities and organizational skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
