About the role

This role participates within the Retail Physical Channels strategy team.

Collaborate with senior managers on strategic portfolio projects within North America.

Attend meetings with internal CBRE and client Commercial Real Estate Managers.

Work in partnership with Retail business counterparts to collect business plan inputs that inform optimization opportunities.

As required, collaborate with and advise variable project teams performing related work.

Integrates with the Non-Retail (Corporate offices) strategy team to deliver comprehensive solutions that optimize the total enterprise’s real estate portfolio.

The location will be Hybrid with 2-3 days at the client site (either Detroit, MI or Dallas, TX) and travel is 15% or less.

What you’ll do

  • Collect and Process Financial Data Modeling sources on a defined cadence. Facilitate improvements in data sourcing, scheduling, and integration activities.

  • Become proficient in the CBRE SIMMS system and use its reports to update or augment strategy deliverables.

  • Update and Maintain Calculation Logic in the existing modeling toolkit.

  • Collect and Process Assumptions for Cost Estimates, including real estate related inputs, staff, marketing, and others.

  • Lead high-level, pro-forma financial modeling tasks.

  • Strategic problem solving and storytelling abilities needed to drive recommendations and decisions.

  • Develop Real Estate Scenario Financial comparisons.

  • With Commercial Real Estate & Retail business partners, develop business case documentation and supporting strategy approvals.

  • Update and maintain the Plan of Record documentation post-decision making.

  • Develop the Annual Summary Report of the Plan of Record.

What you’ll need

  • 10+ years of experience with strong Data Analytics skills needed to maintain and improve the Retail portfolio strategy toolkit.

  • Be knowledgeable about macroeconomic and financial market activities and trends.

  • There are no formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

  • Provide informal assistance such as technical mentorship and/or training on the strategy toolkit to coworkers.

  • May lead project teams and/or plan and supervise assignments of lower-level employees
