Job Summary

Geisinger offers outpatient Clinic Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Geisinger has hundreds of community sites that allows LPNs to work to the top of their license while providing top-notch care.

Job Duties

• Work From Home 8:30a-5p

• Office time - travel will be for training and quarterly rounding /check-ins or as needed if there are concerns needing to be addressed in person. (Mo Valley- Philipsburg clinic is where our "home" location is if we need to go to the clinic for any reason) If the nurse would lose power internet, or extended (45 min) network/computer problems, the expectation would be that they go to the clinic to work

• No weekends/holidays

• No on call

• Triages via phone for the whole Western region CMSL clinics (13).

• Critical thinking, precise nursing judging, the ability to ask thorough questions and collect all pertinent information regarding the caller's concerns is crucial.

• This position is significantly focused on setting the providers and clinic staff up to be able to address our encounters in one touch to prevent further phone calls back and forth due to missing details.

• Obtains and documents patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provides basic medical data base for provider, and prepares patient for examinations.

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)

Experience
