Palmer College of Chiropractic Student Activities Coordinator in Davenport, Iowa

Palmer College of Chiropractic is looking for an Student Activities Coordinator!

The Student Activities Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and administration of student activities and programs.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of new student orientation including program development and revisions

  • Coordinate student clubs and organizational policies and programs

  • Assist with the organization, development and implementation of multi cultural programs

  • Develop and/or implement special activities and programs as assigned

  • Coordinate community involvement programs

  • Assist with updating and distributing the Student Handbook

  • Manage and maintain student services budget

  • Manage student engagement database

  • Provide assistance in the administration of departmental or other functions

  • Maintain applicable policy and procedure manuals

  • Assist with the processing of department/office purchase requisitions and work orders, as needed

  • Provide assistance to prospective students, students, faculty, alumni and visitors as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree with a minimum of two years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to perform assigned duties with time pressures and frequent interruptions.

  • Ability to utilize general office equipment and other necessary equipment

  • Ability to utilize personal computer and various software packages

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments

  • Ability to resolve routine problems

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work various hours as job requires.

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in related field; two years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift objects (in excess of 20 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the workday

  • Perform sedentary to light work in a ventilated, lighted, and temperature controlled office setting
