Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator Location US- ID 2024-1533 Category Professionals Position Type Full-time Regular Remote Yes Overview Woolpert's Digital & Design Technology Discipline is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join our rapidly expanding team. In this dynamic role, you will experience a fast-paced yet well-organized work environment under the guidance of our exceptional BIM Management team. Alongside your designated BIM Manager, you will support a wide range of project teams focused on mission critical, civic & industrial projects. These range from New Construction and Mixed-use/Renovation Buildings projects, reality capture point cloud data management for Scan-to-BIM conversions, extending to construction administration support for clash detection and VDC management. You will collaborate closely with our industry-leading architecture and engineering teams. This position would support full-time in-person, hybrid, or full-time telecommuter working arrangements; however, candidates in areas geographically located near any of our main Woolpert vertical design offices may be given preference. Responsibilities Additionally, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our company's BIM standards, leveraging our cutting-edge design technology platforms and tools. We take pride in staying ahead of AEC industry trends concerning technology, selectively phasing out underperforming applications. Our technology stack incorporates both proprietary and third-party platforms along with several advanced Autodesk Revit plug-ins. Our team maximizes the use of current Autodesk Cloud services and engages our production teams with Autodesk ACC/BIM360 technology. Key Responsibilities: Advocate for BIM best practices, ensuring adherence to Project BIM Execution Plans and standards. Review BIM files for consistency and accuracy, proposing model adjustments when necessary and coordinating with relevant team members for implementation. Utilize advanced collaborative tools such as Navisworks, Autodesk Cloud Collaboration and other advanced technologies to foster multi-disciplinary coordination in a BIM-centric environment. Provide coaching and guidance to personnel on BIM implementation and applications. Engage with both internal teams and external clients to synchronize BIM modeling strategies, model exchanges, quality control measures, and delivery protocols Qualifications Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including: Understanding of Revit Family creation. Advanced Revit troubleshooting capabilities. Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Project Setup, ACC Template Management, Build). Additional Proficiency with Revit Add-ins (Ideate, BIM Track, Guardian, PyRevit) are considered an assets. Coding skills are advantageous and would be used in the more advanced projects in-house. The BIM Coordinator will also foster close working relationships with key Directors, BIM Managers, and external providers such as design consultants, thereby becoming a primary point of contact for project troubleshooting in Autodesk Revit and its complementary applications, add-ins, and utilities.
