As an electrical engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to modeling foreign threat radar, antennas, weapon systems, and communication systems. We're looking for a problem solver who can use their skills to help perform detailed analyses, including the evaluation of the detectability of airborne systems and survivability analyses of weapon systems and platforms to be deployed in future combat scenarios. This is an opportunity to hone your technical abilities on significant engineering problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication. Our modeling and simulation team performs a variety of classified analyses of future weapon and platform concepts for DoD clients, and we also develop the detailed models and simulations required. That's why we need a radar modeling and simulation analyst like you with a solid background in signal processing to develop radar and antenna models. You'll also perform modeling tasks, including radar signal processing code development and the development and refinement of weapon models in Fortran, C++, MATLAB, and Simulink. You'll directly impact the Air Force's mission by helping determine tactics, techniques, and procedures to improve survivability and vulnerability against foreign threat systems as well as helping make an informed decision for the acquisition of future systems. You Have: 2+ years of experience with coding in MATLAB, C++, or Fortran Knowledge of radar principles for antenna, signal processing, and track filters Ability to work in a dynamic team environment Ability to obtain a security clearance Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS Nice If You Have: Experience with engineering and mathematics Experience with modeling and simulation Experience with Linux Knowledge of U.S. and foreign combat weapon systems, including airborne and ground-based air defense systems Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills Secret clearance Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
