Dayton Children's Hospital Surgical PCA II in Dayton, Ohio

Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Anesthesia Clinical SupportSchedule:Full timeHours:36Job Details:The Surgical PCA II delivers basic perioperative pediatric patient care and maintains a clean perioperative environment. The focus for the PCA II may be preoperative, postoperative, operating room, and/or postanesthesia care unit. The PCA II is a member of the perioperative team and renders care in accordance with AORN, ASPAN, CMC, and OBN. The PCA II performs nursing tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse/physician. The roles for the CSII with a patient care focus may include anesthesia and secretarial support. Any budgeted position may be required to take call in accordance with the departmental policy

Department Specific Job Details:

REQUIRED: HS Diploma / GED, CPR training, Patient care training or actively enrolled in healthcare-related education (to include nursing, pre-med, radiology, respiratory, vet tech), Communication Skills, Customer Service Skills, Basic keyboarding skills. PREFERRED: 1-2 years, Perioperative experience, CNA certification

Education Requirements:

GED, High School (Required)

Certification/License Requirements:

CPR: Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation - American Heart Association
