Position Summary: The SAP Functional Analyst – Ops-LE will be responsible for owning the technical and functional aspects of SAP S/4 Logistics Best Practice Solutions and their integration with third-party logistics (3PL) for specific business processes. The SAP Functional Analyst – Ops-LE will align the business processes to utilize SAP Best Practice solutions effectively by employing standard SAP solutions and applications to minimize custom development. This strategic approach facilitates periodic SAP upgrades and patches without jeopardizing the stability of the business solutions. Emphasis will be placed on maintaining the core S/4 environment free from customization and optimizing the use of standard development applications.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct business process analysis for Logistics and Operations.

  • Identify and implement SAP S/4 Best Practice Logistics and Operations Solution (LE – Inbound and Outbound, Integrations, QM, PM).

  • Collaborate with the SI Team to develop an integrated solution.

  • Attain proficiency in Panasonic Business Systems, including interfaces and integrations.

  • Facilitate and conduct business and functional requirements gathering workshops for complex projects.

  • Map simple and complex business processes (AS-IS & TO-BE) and/or larger scope workflow.

  • Guide architecture decisions based on industry standards and best practices in the Logistics area.

  • Develop the data governance and compliance strategy for the logistics functional area.

  • Develop a comprehensive testing plan for the functional and integration solution. Review and approve end-user test cases and actively engage in user acceptance testing.

  • Lead the day-to-day technical support of the application to ensure it operates optimally.

  • Play a crucial role in choosing and suggesting software solutions customized to meet specific business requirements. Collaborate with essential technology and business unit personnel and key partners to identify areas for enhancement and document requirements and contribute to designing, testing, and implementing optimized SAP upgrades.

  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners and fully understand business functions and current systems.

  • Manage integrated functionality and technology dependencies, usability, reliability, performance, and support needs.

  • Lead discussions, provide guidance for SAP, and facilitate collaboration with implementation partners. Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems while formulating strategies for their improvement.

  • Engage with other SAP S/4 Process Analysts and business analysts to plan, develop, design, and implement new applications and refine existing ones.

  • Ensure that document creation for projects is facilitated while working alongside project teams or clients. This involves developing and reviewing Business Requirements, functional specifications, and client communications documents.

  • Conduct advanced data collection tasks, lead in gathering requirements, and consolidate intricate organizational and procedural information from business collaborators, showcasing a profound grasp of business terminology.

  • Adhere to IT standards and processes.

  • Assist in the development and execution of Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing scripts.

  • Generate presentations and demonstrations, oversee the creation of training documents/materials, and lead training sessions for business partners while supporting the training and mentoring of junior analysts and business resources.

  • Propose innovative approaches to address the advanced needs of business partners.

  • Ongoing education and remaining abreast of industry trends and SAP's forthcoming innovations and enhancements are essential to continuously contributing as a subject matter expert across various cross-platform projects.

  • Take on the responsibilities of an IT Quality Assurance Analyst or serve as a Project Manager for small projects as requested/needed.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education

  • Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, technology, information systems management, or a related field.

  • Preferred

  • Master of Science in Technology, Business Data Management, Information Systems Management, or a related field.

  • Specialized post-graduate certifications include SAP Certified Consultant, SAP S/4HANA System Administration, or related certifications.

Essential Qualifications

  • The position requires the ability to travel to the Nevada factory for up to 50% of the time.

  • A minimum of six years of experience in IT functional areas with S/4 Hana enterprise software is mandatory. Mastery in this field is essential.

  • Possessing advanced expertise in S/4, with a comprehensive understanding of its application in business workflow and alignment with organizational requirements.

  • Experienced in comprehending and analyzing complex business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

  • Proficient in creating comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Your ability to deliver information effectively to respond to inquiries from diverse stakeholders is crucial.

  • Proficient in calculating and interpreting various numerical data and applying advanced algebra and geometry concepts.

  • Proficiency in problem-solving and the ability to adapt to diverse and non-standardized concrete variables demonstrate capability in effectively addressing a broad spectrum of complex variables with minimal standardization.

  • Proficient in integrating enterprise considerations into solution development and expert in incorporating enterprise-level factors into solution design and development.

  • Proficient in adept verbal and written communication across various scenarios, showcasing attentive listening, articulate responses, and active engagement in meetings. Skilled in effectively navigating diverse verbal contexts, presenting explicit and informative written content, rigorously proofreading, and catering to varying stylistic requirements. Proficiency extends to the adept presentation of numerical data and comprehensive comprehension of written information.

  • Adaptability to changes in the work environment is a key requirement for this role. You should be adept at managing multiple priorities, have a flexible approach to align methods with the situation, and demonstrate resilience against frequent changes, delays, and unexpected events.
