Ford Motor Company Supply Chain Communication Manager in Dearborn, Michigan

This role is hybrid out of Dearborn, Michigan, and relocation is available.

What you'll do...

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies to achieve the objectives of the Supply Chain and Communications functions, working closely with the Chief Supply Chain Officer and other leaders of the function.

  • Drive internal culture change through regular team engagements and effective communication.

  • Build strong supplier relationships through strategic communications, impactful experiences, and effective speeches and presentations.

  • Build Ford’s reputation as a well-managed company by earning media coverage for Ford’s Supply Chain wins and thought leadership, and managing risks as they arise.

  • Serve as a liaison, employing Communications processes and assets (including narrative frameworks, visual assets and graphic design resources) to support the Supply Chain function’s strategic objectives.

  • Lead Ford’s supplier communications policy approval process.

You’ll have …

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of professional experience in communications, demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong project management abilities.

  • Proven track record of success in executing strategic communications efforts that achieved measurable results.

  • Experience in internal communications and issues management, including crisis communications and change management.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in digital storytelling and tools, including social media platforms, content management systems, and digital analytics.

  • Familiarity with the earned media landscape and prior experience working with journalists and influencers.

  • Strong business acumen; be a strategic and creative thinker.

  • Customer-centric decision-making ability.

  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills, with proven project management expertise.

  • A high standard of excellence.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Enthusiasm, a can-do attitude and a sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and consistency.

  • Ability to foster a culture of focus, excellence and collaboration.

This position is a salary grade 6.
