Sr Pricing Analyst
Major Responsibilities
Implement monthly/quarterly price changes; ensure prices are created utilizing approved business rules and logic
Evaluate effectiveness of pricing strategies and modify pricing structures as needed
Analyze performance of current pricing strategies and make recommendations to optimize pricing rules
Actively participate in development and implementation of price optimization tools/models and “what if” analysis
Research applicable techniques, develop pricing models, and perform quantitative analysis for price guidance
Gather and leverage market and competitive price information to support pricing decisions
High level of interaction with Merchandising and Sales teams in developing optimal pricing on shared offers
Perform price change impact analysis, including overall account/segment profitability assessments
Analyze pricing performance and make pricing recommendations to Sales and Pricing leadership
Perform ad hoc analyses to identify pricing challenges and facilitate issue resolution
Develop, apply, advise and train team members in analytical best practices
Train team members in developing data models
Perform Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reporting and analysis

Skills/Knowledge Required
Proficiency in Microsoft products
Advanced skills in MS Excel (a must)
Preferred experience in PROS and Data Warehouse tools (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle, Toad Data Point, SQL)
Python experience is a plus
Excellent technical and analytical skills – expertise in building financial and business analysis models
The ability to extract information and insights from multiple data sources as well as design and lead the development of reporting and modeling solutions
An eye for detail that can spot inconsistencies and flaws in data results
Inquisitive mind hungry to solve problems, dig deeper, and understand the “Why”
Works cross-functionally with peer levels
Communication skills allowing for interaction with higher levels of management, cross functionally
Ability to coach and provide direction to analyst level – although not direct report
Strong process and control experience and aptitude
Strong commercial skills and understanding of channel economics
Ability to work well independently
Education and Experience
Minimum of 5 years Pricing related experience OR prior experience in Financial Business Analysis, Marketing preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Marketing OR equivalent in work experience
