Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Job Description

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for manufacturing veneer products. You will play a crucial role in the facility by working with conveyors, dryers, and other equipment to ensure the efficient processing and shipment of products. We are looking for a tenured, Red Seal Industrial Electrician to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and work alongside two apprentices.

• Organize and manage various projects.

• Program and troubleshoot the mill approximately 60% of the time.

• Change motors, install frequency drives, and design circuits.

• Work with voltage levels up to 600 volts.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of industrial electrical experience.

• Proven experience with VFDs in PLC networks using Ethernet and I/O installation and configuration.

• Skilled in Ladder Logic PLC programming in an industrial environment.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Commitment to a long-term career opportunity.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in sawmill operations.

• Documentation of previous work.

• Understanding of TCP/IP Stack.

• Experience with FactoryTalk View Development.

• Familiarity with motion control systems.

• Strong work ethic with a desire for overtime.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

Work Environment

Our work environment is busy, fast-paced, and can be loud and dusty due to running machines. We have a multicultural team of 110 employees, with 19 in the maintenance team. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with flexibility required for overtime and weekend shifts as needed. Christmas is the only scheduled holiday; other time off must be booked in advance.

This is a Contract position based out of Delta, British Columbia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47.66 - $47.66/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Delta,BC.
