OverviewThe Grounds and Custodian worker will be responsible for performing quality tasks required to meet both the grounds maintenance and custodial services necessary.

Responsibilities

1. Perform grounds maintenance duties per contract schedule, requirements and standards to include:
   • Mow all improved grounds to look well-manicured.
   • Edge sidewalks, driveways, street edges, curbs and other hard surfaced areas located within the improved grounds.
   • Trim areas not accessible to mowers
   • Remove debris to include general litter patrol and natural debris.
   • police grounds in order to maintain a neat and professional appearance.
   • Maintain desert landscape in a clean and neat manner.
   • Provide weed control.
2. Take direction, interact and maintain open communication with supervisor, cooperate with supervisors, subordinates, and co-workers.
3. Accept and implement special projects as assigned by supervisor.
4. Must have knowledge using tools, machines to complete projects; Weed eaters, edgers, hedgers, Chain saws, blowers.
5. Clean restrooms, sweep, andwet mop all tile floors.
6. Clean entrance ways windows (interior and exterior) and building windows, clean office glass as needed.
7. Empty trash and replace liner in all trash cans.
8. Dust all areas as needed.
9. Outdoor litter pickup.
10. Perform high dusting monthly to include all window blinds, dust all areas as needed.
11. Replace all paper and soap products in restrooms, replace deodorizers and batteries as needed.
12. Vacuum all carpet areas.
13. All other cleaning duties as assigned.
14. Assist public when necessary.
15. Maintain floors regularly.
16. Perform advanced floor maintenance as required.
17. Maintain a clean facility.
18. Maintain restrooms.
19. Maintain equipment in a clean and operablemanner.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES.Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education.?High school diploma or GED, willingness to learn tasks necessary for building custodial and grounds work. Ability One Program requirement preferred.

Experience.?Grounds maintenance, landscaping field experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications.?Validdrivers license.

Other (e.g., post-offerdrug screen, background check, drivers license record, etc.).?Employeesmust undergo a drivers license record check; employees must pass abackground check

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:

1. Bilingual skills are not required but are beneficial.
2. Assist the public when necessary.
3. Ability to work in stressful situations.
4. Ability to work independently, and in a team setting.

Rate of Pay: $15.50

Location: Deming

Pay Range:OP-1

Hours: Monday - Friday; 7am-5pm
