Requisition Summary
Peterbilt Motors Company is looking for an Engine Field Technician to support our customers with repairs in the field. The Technician will travel across the U.S./Canada and perform field repairs to Peterbilt trucks.
Job Requirements
Experience following detailed procedures to produce high quality consistent repairs.
Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
Adjust, and operate a variety of tools requiring close tolerance work, inspect own work for conformance with specifications, using gauges, hand tools and power tools.
1-3 years of experience with Medium- and Heavy-Duty vehicles a must. Corresponding ASE Certification a plus.
Able to work outdoors in all types of weather and in confined areas on trucks.
Travel up to 100% U.S. and Canada.
Basic computer communication and data entry skills required, and ability to become an effective user of standard software used by industry PACCAR technicians.
Strong internal and external professional communication skills both written and verbal.
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Appropriate technical school training preferred, or applicable work experience.
