VF Corporation Analyst, Corporate Development in Denver, Colorado

The Analyst – Corporate Development will help drive value creation by supporting effective allocation of capital to acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, partnerships, licenses, and other agreements. This associate will actively leverage internal and external relationships to advance the company’s business model transformation and enable strategic growth by supporting the execution of portfolio and/or business development transactions from origin to close. This role reports to the [Senior Director – Corporate Development].

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Conduct research and analysis to understand and support investment recommendations surrounding the mergers and acquisition activities of the organization

  • Support business development initiatives, working with business and functional leaders in the company to pursue the most impactful expansion opportunities, capabilities, resources, skills, & technology to enable achievement of strategic objectives

  • Prepare complex financial models to evaluate and substantiate merits of inorganic investment opportunities

  • Create presentation material and present certain research, strategic assessments, opportunities, recommendations, marketing & other material to [Executive Leadership Team] and internal teams, external advisors, transaction counterparts, capital providers, etc.

  • Work closely with business teams, internal functional experts (eg. legal, accounting, tax, etc.), and outside advisors to support execution on inorganic investment opportunities

  • Manage transaction processes including deal team organization, confidentiality agreements, data rooms, due diligence planning & administration, closing, regulatory clearance, settlement, funding, integration/dis-integration, transition services agreements, and other processes

Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+ years, ideally in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate finance, or a relevant role in a corporate environment with meaningful exposure to acquisition/investment transactions

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics; MBA preferred

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant) are a plus

  • Specific experience in operational/financial diligence, legal, and/or tax M&A advisory is preferred

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills are required; ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues is critical

  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Discreet and trustworthy with highly confidential information

Hiring Range :

$68,000.00 USD - $85,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
