The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of machinery, equipment, and facilities. This role involves conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing equipment to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. The technician will work closely with other departments to support overall operational goals.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

• Repair and replace defective components to restore equipment functionality.

• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

• Perform regular maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.

• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to prevent equipment failures.

• Work closely with production teams to minimize equipment downtime.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about maintenance activities.

• Provide training and support to staff on proper equipment use and maintenance.

• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and records of all activities.

• Document repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.

• Repair and replace defective parts.

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance.

• Maintain maintenance logs and records.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Operate tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Install new machinery and equipment.

• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime.

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies.

• Assist in developing maintenance schedules.

• Order and manage inventory of spare parts.

• Provide training on equipment operation and maintenance.

• Implement improvements to enhance equipment performance.

• Participate in safety audits and training sessions.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
