Your opportunity

You will support the global business and facilitate growth by ensuring that a risk-based oversight model is delivered to our fund shareholders and other business partners. The fund range comprises mutual funds, hedge funds, ETFs, and other non-registered products.

  • Provide oversight support of fund tax related tax documents including U.S. excise and fiscal returns, K-1 schedules and foreign tax returns.

  • Review fund distributions and IRC qualification.

  • Provide tax information and analyses for portfolio managers and various other internal clients.

  • Review complex securities and transactions for related tax implications.

  • Understanding of legal agreements including partnership agreements and other fund related documents.

  • Perform analytical and reporting disclosure review for Financial Statements.

  • FATCA compliance and documentation.

  • Produce periodic reporting information on behalf of the team for both internal and external distribution including fund board reporting.

  • Maintain and implement policies and procedures with an emphasis on risk mitigation.

  • Assist tax team in organization of reports and data from external service providers and communicate priorities in regular meetings.

  • Support relationships with external service providers supporting the funds and establish quality and timeliness metrics.

  • Review processes for continuous improvement and industry best practices.

  • Deliver open and clear communication of information regarding issues and business events across multiple facets of the organization.

    Must have skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting or related field.

  • Masters in Tax or CPA license preferred.

  • Fund accounting/fund administration knowledge a plus.

  • 2 years or more of experience in tax preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and insure timely completion of projects.

  • Analytical mindset with strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • Research and problem-solving skills.

    Compensation information

    The base salary range for this position is $85,000-95,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open through August 10, 2024.

    Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
