Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a range of accounting duties, including preparing and maintaining budgets, creating and running financial reports, maintaining and performing journal entries, and overseeing various finance function processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and run all reports for month, quarter, and year-end closings

• Prepare and maintain project budget schedules using Excel

• Perform data entry of all completed budgets

• Maintain and perform monthly journal entries and reconciliations

• Own and maintain capital lease schedules, intercompany accounts, and prepaid subledgers

• Oversee and maintain accounts receivable detail

• Assist with monthly reconciliations and billings as necessary

• Develop and implement monthly run of reports for finance and leadership purposes

• Create and distribute monthly commission and revenue reports

• Investigate and propose software systems for further use by finance

• Assist and back-up Controller in duties as necessary

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Sage Intacct, Financial Statement Preparation Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations.

• Proficient in General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Knowledge and experience with Sage Intacct accounting software.

• Ability to prepare Financial Statements.
