Linux Systems Administrator - Aurora, CO

Volt is immediately hiring Linux Systems Administrator in Aurora, CO.

As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will:

Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new computer (and/or server), peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Establishes functional and technical specifications, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Solve hardware and software issue and you will have trouble shooting skills. Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication

Responsibilities: Build, configure and administer on-prem and cloud based Atlassian Jira product / systems. Utilize the following stages in a pipeline: Build, Package, Deploy and Functional Test. Collaborate with teams to develop scalable, efficient, and maintainable solutions using Jira. Build and maintain automation with the Pipeline structure, using Rundeck, Chef Environment files, and Ansible. Follow established Software processes and procedures, development, documentation and maintenance/management of operations concepts, requirements (system, element, segment level), external and internal interfaces, and other software engineering work products/artifacts. Contribute to the completion of program and project milestones under the specific guidance of their immediate supervisor. Stay updated with the latest advancements in DevOps and satellite technology to drive innovation.

Basic Qualifications: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance is required. Typically requires bachelor's degree Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. Must have Linux experience. Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) or acquire one within 2 months of the start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with scripting, particularly in Bash and Python Experienced using and developing automation tools/frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef Experience with recent versions of VMware (ESXi and vCenter) ZFS Storage administration experience. Experience administering Windows based systems including Active Directory and group policies. Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common services such as DNS, Sendmail, and LDAP. Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented. Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency. Requires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors

This is a Full Time Contract opportunity.

Pay Rate: $58-$68/hour
