Blue Origin, LLC Technical Product Owner III in Denver, Colorado

This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we're developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin's mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.

As a Technical Product Owner at Blue Origin, you will act as the bridge between customer needs and the engineering teams, ensuring that product requirements are effectively translated into technical solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product development and ensure that the digital infrastructure aligns with our strategic vision. Your ability to manage the product backlog, lead agile processes, and deliver customer-centric solutions will be key to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Customer Advocacy: Represent the customer throughout the development process by advocating for their needs and ensuring their voice is heard. Regularly engage with customers to deeply understand their pain points, requirements, and feedback.

Requirements Gathering and Refinement: Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather, refine, and document detailed product requirements. Translate these requirements into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria with appropriate technical details that guide the development team. Align the product roadmap with the overall product vision, strategy, and customer needs.

Agile Leadership and Sprint Planning: Lead sprint planning sessions, set sprint goals, and ensure the development team is aligned with the scope and priorities. Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, proactively addressing roadblocks and resolving team queries to achieve sprint and release objectives.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with customers, software developers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient product development and delivery.
