Roles & Responsibilities:

Defined, visualised, and ROM-costed off-site movement and transport strategy (Road, Rail and Marine).

Examine your possibilities for moving throughout the transport network.

Make a series of schematic visual network maps outlining the product and module transportation routes inside the United Kingdom. Schematics will be updated as information and needs comprehension advance.

Quantity and volume statistics that are related will be stated, along with related qualities.

to encompass the kinds and amounts of motions. along with related advice.

Determine the necessary equipment and modes of transportation. with anticipated hiring lead times.

Give customer estimates team spend profiles and cost data to work with when creating customer budgets.

Assist the on-site logistics team in coordinating and deciding on the dates and conditions for accepting transport, as well as the means of delivery.

Determine possible dangers and corrective measures.

Gathering needs from various teams regarding potential uses for an off-site logistics hub is the main task.

Sketch out the layout, taking into account the general infrastructure and size.

Verify requirements with relevant parties and get ready for the delivery team's discussion. Timeliness should be in line with the current IES, and choices for one or more builds should be shown.

Gather estimates from the estimating team and compile them so that you may add them to customer budgets.

Maintain and update logistics scenario plans to take into account the aforementioned developments.

After approval to move forward, collaborate with Supply Chain Logistics to create an RFI/RFQ for the designated 3PL suppliers. Assist in the vendor evaluation process

Gather operational and SLA requirements, and discuss how to handle these from a logistics standpoint.

Determine the logistics strategy for ERP and subcontractors and come to an agreement with IT. Working together with IT teams to develop a shared knowledge of possible consumer data requirements. Communications and information sharing with suppliers of off-site logistics.

Examine possibilities for product delivery into an EU nation and subsequent rail, road, and river transit from an EU port of entry to the designated EU site.

Engaging and assessing possible logistics partners in order to offer suggestions. To compile the data that has been received thus far and determine the current state of the engagement talks.

Defined, estimated, and approved logistics strategy for MEP factory (inbound, warehouse, in-factory logistics and outbound)

Inbound

• Gather data about the products, their origins, frequency of use, sizes, and weights.

• Construct the mode of transportation and collection strategy (such as a collection service, etc.). Assist MEP and Planning & Control teams with information sharing.

• Compile data regarding possible transportation expenses for the off-site warehouse's pickup and delivery.

• Will the delivery be made using DAP, ex works, or a combination of both.

Warehouse: Assisting the MEP teams in understanding their presumptive material handling needs. Regarding the types and quantities of the components.

• Describe the steps involved in receiving, receipting, putting away, kitting, and sequencing tasks in a warehouse.

• Describe the anticipated storage needs.

• Get in touch with a possible service provider to assist with the creation of related details, layout, setup, and operation.

• The 3PL will include comprehensive drawings, approximate prices, and schedules.

• To attend review sessions with the delivery team.

• Costs and resources that should be included in overall budgets.

Within the Factory :• Work together to determine logistics material handling requirements and concepts with the MEP industrial layout team.

• Ensure that every logistical consideration—such as the quantity of dock doors and laydown spaces—is taken into account.

• Assist in creating a material flow plan for the warehouse to guarantee smooth operation.

• Work with 3PL to clarify the specifics.

Outbound

• Work together on outgoing tasks with the MEP dispatch team, and be aware of how the call-off will function.

• Affect dimensions, collection frequencies, loading decks, and outgoing physical layout.

• Verify that modules are loaded safely, following the instructions in the method statement for each commodity.

• Acquire permission and signature from the MEP Leadership Team; • Recognise the environmental, exterior, and protective storage needs for the finished module.

• Deliver to the Logistics Management Centre, where inventory is held until the building site is ready for installation.

• Gather data on possible expenses that the estimating team might use to create budgets for SMR.

Supply chain will need to be consulted in order to determine the best operational solution.

Continuous work obligations over the length of this position

•Maintaining a risk register for all associated logistics activities.

• Cooperating with the Senior Logistics Manager for on-site logistics.

• Providing regular updates into the first of a fleet PMO IES Schedule.

• Managing interactions with wider customer teams, specifically delivery and design teams.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • • Eight to ten years of minimum relevant experience in logistics•Degree (Masters) in Global Supply Chain• Effective interpersonal and negotiating abilities.• Excellent project management abilities, collaborative working with logistics partners, and end-to-end process design.
