Roles & Responsibilities:

  • • The power station design engineer will use optioneering, analysis, and systems engineering techniques to define the design for the customer power station. This includes making and managing design decisions that determine the power station's fundamental performance.• Use systems engineering to integrate power station capabilities, collaborate with subject matter experts, and design teams across disciplines to meet top-level requirements and deliver effective results.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • • The power station design engineer should be self-motivated and proactive in resolving complex issues. • Demonstrate a systems engineering mindset and promote its use across the business. • Demonstrates ability to collaborate with diverse teams to meet design requirements.• They will actively seek stakeholder input and elicit requirements and needs. • Demonstrated optioneering skills and experience with design selection methods, including multi-attribute decision matrices. • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. • Strong presentation skills.• The power plant design engineer will have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline. • Preferably CEng or working towards it. • Demonstrated ability to make high-quality multi-attribute decisions through experience with design optioneering and feed studies.• Expertise in integrating complex engineering systems.• Engineering background in mechanical, electrical, C&I, systems, or process engineering is required, with domain expertise in nuclear or power preferred. • Experience with systems engineering techniques, including system architecture and design decision-making. • Experience with DOORs or other requirements management platforms is preferred. • Experience with Capella or other MBSE tools is preferred.
