Job Description:
Homecoming Activities:
Lead the planning and coordination of all homecoming events, including pep rallies, spirit week activities, and the homecoming dance.
Collaborate with student government members and other school staff to develop creative and inclusive event ideas that promote school spirit and unity.
Manage logistics such as budgeting, vendor contracts, and volunteer coordination to ensure the successful execution of homecoming activities.
Provide guidance and support to student government members as they take on leadership roles in planning and executing specific homecoming events.
Student Leadership Opportunities:
Develop and implement programs and initiatives that empower students to take on leadership roles within the school community.
Mentor student government members in developing leadership skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Organize training sessions, workshops, and retreats to help students hone their leadership abilities and cultivate a sense of responsibility towards their peers and school.
Student Representation:
Serve as a liaison between the student body and school administration, advocating for student interests, concerns, and initiatives.
Organize regular meetings between student government representatives and school administrators to discuss pertinent issues and collaborate on solutions.
Encourage active participation and feedback from students through avenues such as surveys, suggestion boxes, and open forums to ensure their voices are heard and valued.
Qualifications:
Experience working with high school students in a leadership capacity.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and administrators.
Enthusiasm for promoting student engagement, empowerment, and representation within the school community.
