Job Description

Fleet Mechanic repairs mobile equipment Fork trucks ,Hysters,Yale,Ramonds,Seegrids. Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining any type of diesel engine. Adjusting equipment to repair or replace defective parts. Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using testing equipment. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery. Repair and replace damaged or worn parts. Properly diagnose malfunctions. May be exposed to outside weather conditions. Exposure to elements working in a truck shop, sounds, noise levels, dust, oil, industrial lubricants, etc.

Job Responsibilities

Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers specifications. Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and tools. Schedule and perform all maintenance tasks on a timely basis. Keep all DOT inspections on all trucks and trailers current. Maintain records per vehicle showing service intervals and repairs. Active communication with Manager to coordinate work and provide updates on work in progress. Operate all equipment in a safe and orderly fashion. Report any accident or injuries immediately. Lift up to 75lbs. All other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications

? Previous maintenance experience preferred

? Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks

? Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

? Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
