Manufacturing Engineering Position

*This immediate opening is available as a direct-hire or contract position. Candidates must be willing to travel to the client site in southern Kentucky. *Direct-hire employees must be willing to relocate to Toledo, OH or surrounding area. Temporary and contract openings do not require relocation to Toledo, OH.

Qualifications

Required

  • Technical Associate's degree or two years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD or an equivalent software.
  • Ability to read and interpret product drawings.

Desired

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Five or more years manufacturing experience
  • Possess knowledge of quality systems, six sigma concepts and/or lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing facilities.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Professional, organized and ethical individual.

Job Description

  • Develops or improves manufacturing processes including flow, methods and equipment.
  • Designs or sources various tools, fixtures, jigs, machinery and equipment.
  • Performs analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
  • Assists with improving process capability and improve quality rates.
  • Identifies potential environmental and safety aspects and designs processes to minimize their impacts.
  • Participates in new product launch and assist and/or establish new part process and parameters.
  • Provides daily manufacturing support, including troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
  • Evaluates equipment manufacturers to develop cost effective and efficient manufacturing processes and upgrades.
