Job Description:

We are searching for an Enterprise Solution Architect who will provide architecture support for Product Development (PD) system applications at this Company. To thrive in this position, you will need to have the technical expertise and desire to work with Product Team members to deliver a full range of architectural services for the Product Development (Design and Engineering) domain.

What you’ll be able to do:

• You will be responsible for understanding enterprise needs and defining technical architecture solutions that modernize Company’s patterns and standards for use in the cloud.

• Responsible for strategic analysis and evaluation to create the enterprise standard technology stack offerings available to application teams.

• Lead and deliver modernization strategy and roadmap of PD products - PLM, Systems Engineering, Design and Verification

• Translate business requirements into technical architecture-based solutions.

• Responsible for providing solutions for PD initiatives through emerging technologies. This will involve working with application/product teams to implement strategy, feature definition, and overall architecture direction.

• Develop architectural blueprints and transformational roadmaps working in partnership with IT, Skill Team Representatives, and the wider enterprise architecture organization.

• Provide leadership with senior -level management around overall solution definition and architecture as well as helping in the decision-making.

• Define solution architectures that align with Company’s patterns, standards, and reference architectures.

• Define, analyze, assemble, and integrate components to deliver infrastructure patterns for the business, including consideration for platforms, software, availability, scalability, and reliability.

• Partner with IT Operations teams in technology evaluation and guide teams in creating, documenting, and communicating architecture principles.

• Provide support such as troubleshooting application functional, performance, and availability issues, and participating in vendor solution evaluation processes.

• Work with application teams and demonstrate Design Thinking to define, assemble, and integrate components.

• Identify and review emerging tech trends.

• Develop and communicate architecture design for new features and capabilities.

• Build and own the high-level and low-level technical design elements of projects.

The minimum requirements we seek:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

• 8+ years overall IT experience including progressive IT experience in architecture.

• 5+ years of PLM/Systems Engineering experience.

• 4+ years of hands-on Architecture experience

• 5+ years’ experience in Web and Cloud technologies including PaaS/CaaS/IaaS

Our preferred requirements:

• Advanced degree in computer science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

• Knowledge of REST APIs, API security, OAuth, SAML, OpenID, SSO, JWT, microservices architecture and implementation

• Strong PLM and Systems Engineering conceptual and working knowledge.

• Functional and Architecture Experience with one or more PLM platforms (e.g., Siemens’ Teamcenter, Dassault’s 3D Experience)

• Knowledge of TOGAF Architecture Standards

• Ability to lead and support process, information, application, and solution architecture design and deliverables for large-scale development programs.

• Expertise in interoperability standards and methods

• Knowledge of frameworks, architecture patterns, and reference architectures

• Experience with architecture governance processes and conducting architecture reviews and evaluations.

• Outstanding and proven leadership skills in working with senior -level management helping in decision-making.

• Previous experience as lead architect on multiple large-scale product or enterprise initiatives, preferred.

• Knowledge of product teams and their responsibility for implementing strategy, feature definition, and overall architecture direction

• Excellent time management and digital worker skills (MS Office, WebEx)

• Strong business consulting skill set (facilitation skills, written and oral communication skills)

• Strong ability to self-manage and develop work plans that employ appropriate methods to resolve ambiguity and build consensus for an architectural solution.

• Excellent problem-solving skills including leading problem-solving teams.

• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a group/team environment.

• Knowledge of Product Research and Development

• Experience in dealing with external suppliers/vendors concerning consultancy and/or purchase solutions.

• Familiar with company Agile Framework, Rally, and other backlog management solutions

• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Self-researcher with the ability to research a technology and provide insight to the project team
