KBR Construction Manager in Devon, United Kingdom

Construction Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Manager to support the delivery of an extensive programme of work comprising of new build facilities and refurbishment at Devonport Naval Base.

We are a trusted delivery partner to clients in the nuclear energy sector. Enthusiastic teams work together across disciplines, including organizational transformation and integration, systems engineering, and programme management, to deliver full life cycle solutions from concept through to operations and decommissioning.

Some of your duties will be…

  • Ensure that all construction work undertaken on site is meticulously planned, managed, and coordinated as per CDM requirements.

  • Liaise with external Principal Contractor senior site management to ensure co-ordination of all works across the project. Also maintaining the appropriate level of oversight of their works via regular audits and inspections through the safety and operations control team.

  • Carry out daily and weekly discussions with work leads to ensure that all works across the project are co-ordinated to provide safe delivery during the construction phase.

  • Support the project by assisting in the development and improvement of the reporting structure of the project with regards to safety and delivery performance to internal and external stakeholder engagement.

  • Ensure that appropriate level of pre-construction planning meetings are held for all work activities.

  • Proactively lead safety, quality, and collaboration across the integrated project team.

We are looking for…

An experienced site manager with knowledge of water retaining structures, preferably from a nuclear or highly regulated environment.

Location

This position is 5 days per week onsite at the Devonport Naval Base.

Degree/HND Civil Engineering/Construction

ICE/CIOB

NEBOSH

IOSH

Security Requirements

You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance.
