Sr. Manager of Finance Analytics, Regional Manufacturing

The Sr. Manager of Finance Analytics, Regional Manufacturing is responsible for providing all necessary financial support to the business. This position interfaces with cross functional teams to support continuous improvement and develop business strategy. This position will facilitate communication and identify opportunities, providing support to help achieve financial objectives while maintaining quality and productivity. This position acts as a liaison between finance and other departments and functions. This role is equally responsible for leading the regional financial analysis team to help develop and execute plant financial goals, drive financial operational performance, support the analysis of cost savings/avoidance projects and help deliver the business’ overall objectives. This position is also responsible for developing team members and motivate their success.

Essential Functions

  • Solidify a team of financial analysts that will consolidate quantitative analytics with financials and provide appropriate tactical and strategic feedback to the business.

  • Prepare and coordinate weekly and monthly variance analysis of actuals, plan and forecast to ensure financial data accuracy, integrity and consistency of information while also identifying potential issues for further investigation/consideration by manufacturing leadership.

  • Lead annual budget process for plant level manufacturing including budget modeling and actual vs forecast budget analysis.

  • Support the manufacturing team with regular financial reporting and metrics, as well as ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.

  • Develop in depth analytics to provide better understanding and controls of cost management across the network, as related to all areas of spend.

  • Provide financial and efficiency data to the business that will help drive improvement to the organization.

  • Review monthly activity-based costing to address performance and margin fluctuations.

  • Use historical data and company objectives to create annual goals with a strong baseline.

  • Build new models to understand the cost of efficiency fluctuations, drivers and support of strategic adjustments where necessary.

  • Provide financial results commentary that targets opportunities and address accordingly based on the highlights for the month.

  • Create an action item list each month based on financial results comparison to plan and work cross functionally as needed with the appropriate departments for course correction.

  • Collect and analyze external market data to provide benchmarks for comparison purposes.

  • Anticipate future business demands/initiatives and design/implement solutions to meet these needs. Identify cost saving initiatives.

  • Liaise across multiple departments to resolve issues that impact safety, quality, productivity or cost.

  • Assist with month end close.

  • Monitor, analyze and audit various other financial data as requested and support ad hoc projects, as needed.

    Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment

  • 6 Years – Experience as a finance partner to senior leaders

  • 6 Years – Experience managing people

    *experience may include a combination of work experience and education

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment with a large CPG company

  • 10 Years – Experience as a finance partner to senior leaders

  • 10 Years – Experience managing people and projects

  • 5 Years – Experience with Manufacturing Cost Accounting

  • Experience and knowledge of statistical modeling techniques (multiple regression, logistic regression, log-linear regression, variable selection, etc.)

  • Experience with code statements, models, and macros.

  • Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions.

  • Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.

  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.

  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.

  • Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar.

  • Preferred:

  • MBA or other Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar.

Typical Compensation Range

Pay Rate Type: Salary

$138,930.00 - $194,501.00 / Yearly

Bonus Target: 15% Annual
