Federal Maritime Commission Senior Budget Analyst in District of Columbia, District Of Columbia

Summary This position is located in the Office of Budget and Finance (OBF). The incumbent serves as a senior budget analyst performing a variety of responsibilities in the planning, formulation, and execution of the FMC's budget. Responsibilities As a Senior Budget Analyst, you will: Provide oversight regarding fiscal policy and law, congression justification input, risk analysis, fiscal controls, personnel pay issues, service contract approvals, budget, and program matters. Plan, analyze, formulate, justify, present, execute, and review one-year and multi-year budget for the FMC. Monitor execution of current year budget and financial activities quarterly reporting requirements. Advise, justify, defend, and brief resource strategy and status to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Managing Director, and other senior leaders. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating fund requirements for agency programs and/or systems; Participating in all budget phases to include formulation, justification, presentation, and execution for an organization; and Advising and providing guidance to leadership and other agency personnel on agency funding, budget requirements, and budgetary processes. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
