Job Overview:

McDermott’s Global Operations department is looking for a Data Manager who is responsible for coordinating and managing the data input & requirements throughout project execution across multiple engineering applications (from Hexagon/AVEVA).

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of the Data Management Execution Plan for the project

• Specify and coordinate the processes and tools for data collection, validation consolidation and handover to the Client

• Co-ordinates and manages the data input & requirements throughout project execution across multiple engineering applications (from Hexagon/AVEVA)

• Detect and manage project scope changes in Data Management

• Single point of contact to project management and to the Client for Data Management topics

• Translate project specific information requirements into efficient system configurations and related user instructions

• Prepare functional specification and manage the development and implementation of project specific applications and/or interfaces

• Liaise with [global] project teams (& Vendors, Sub-contractors as required) to promote, explain and ensure compliance with Data Collection requirements and assist as required to support timely delivery of information

• Plan and co-ordinate the day-to-day data management activities and collection processes

• Ensure compliance with the Data Quality Management Framework

• Liaise with Construction and/or Completions team personnel to ensure commissioning/operational hand-over requirements are understood & being met

• Capture lessons learned, best practices and ensure their embedding in the organization

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or IT, or equivalent work experience in Information Management

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Data Manager on FEED, EPC and EPCF projects

• Fully familiar with Engineering, Procurement, Construction project execution requirements for Data Management

• Conversant with modern ISO-15926 / CFIHOS / JIP initiatives, database driven engineering tools and integrated engineering

• Experience of managing data teams

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

• Good understanding of 2D & 3D intelligent applications and data used

• Good experience in one or more engineering disciplines (piping, structural, E&I)

• Good analytical skills and communication and interpersonal skills
