ROLE OVERVIEW A Sales Representative spends their day retaining existing vendor relationships and generating new leads for scrap paper recovery at their respective plant. The offices are located at the Recycling Facilities, which are scrap paper yards. . Performing Waste Audits and identifying opportunities is key. Key Responsibilities Develops and implements marketing strategies. Conducts research. Makes outgoing cold calls to gain new clients as well as developing or maintaining good working relationship with new or existing vendors/customers. Identifies potential leads and schedules sales appointments. Follows up with incoming leads Creates and modifies proposals. Reviews contractual agreements Achieve minimum tonnage development targets within established timeframe Monitors vendor related expenditures and recommends opportunities to increase margins Conveys proper information between facilities and vendors. Meets with Manager for review of sales, activities and prospective customers. Utilizes the companys Contact Relationship Management CRM tool on a daily basis. Develops and maintains an awareness of market trends and competition behaviors Resolves accounting and financial issues. Maintains accurate records for brokerage and billing purposes. Provides solutions to vendor related issue. Resolve scheduling and logistics issues. Convey proper information between facilities and vendors. Maintain accurate records for brokerage and billing purposes. Ensures a safe and healthy workplace. Comply in all respect with the provisions of the Greif Standards of Business Conduct Policy. Develop reports, presentations, and requests for proposals. Develop cost improvement projects. Approve all purchase orders and establish pricing. Generate and report forecast for material prices and markets. Adhere to standardized purchasing systems. Purchase product and maintain inventory suitable to customers needs. Manage freight arrangements for all procured tons which may include negotiating freight rates for customers mills or for brokerage volume. Attend industry-related conferences as requested or as necessary to meet with industry contacts and stay informed on industry trends. Share this information with others as appropriate. Assist the CPS General Manager in any other job-related assignments as requested. Education and Experience Typically possesses a Bachelors degree in Business or Sales Knowledge and Skills Problem-solving/Analytical skills a must. Ability to conduct research. Must have excellent communication skills Must be able to perform multiple tasks under pressure. Must be detailed and organized. Must have PC skills with Microsoft Office and Internet experience.
