The Role

As the Senior Lead Process Analyst in the Human Resources Organization, you will be responsible for understanding the current process state, identifying efficiency improvement opportunities, then leading cross-functional teams to drive process improvements tied to HR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) utilizing Lean Six Sigma principles or similar process methodologies. Your areas of focus will include interval time reduction, reduction of human errors, and process re-designs that result in the reduction of the number of steps and/or running the steps in parallel rather than in-line. You will monitor and evaluate the results of your interventions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement in alignment with Lumen’s core values and operating principles of Clarity, Courage, Growth Mindset, Customer Obsession, Allyship.

Location

This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S. with potential for 5-10% travel (likely no more than once per quarter).

The Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR leaders to identify areas for process improvement opportunities.

  • Conduct comprehensive process analyses to identify gaps, inefficiencies and bottlenecks to determine and prioritize the most impactful gaps and opportunities to redesign vastly improved end state processes.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define objectives, scope, and deliverables for process optimization initiatives.

  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma principles or similar process methodologies to facilitate process improvement workshops, process mapping, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative problem-solving efforts to design new processes.

  • Design and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps and workflows.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies to ensure successful implementation, training, adoption and sustainability of new processes.

  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of process improvements, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess impact and identify further optimization opportunities.

  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in HR process optimization, incorporating learnings into continuous improvement efforts.

  • Collaborate with systems team to leverage technology and automation solutions for process optimization.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and 8+ years of related experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years related experience

  • Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma

  • Demonstrated ability to implement process change resulting in measurable improvements to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations

  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, facilitate meetings, and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of delivering tangible improvements in process efficiency, quality, and employee experience

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience driving process improvement for a large, matrixed organization within Human Resources functions

  • Lean Six Sigma certification

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

$99,390 - $132,510 in these states: AL AZ FL GA IA IN KS MO MT ND NM OH OK PA TN UT VT WI WV WY

$104,360 - $139,140 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI

$109,330 - $145,770 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
