Vertiv Corporation Director, Product Management - Americas (AC Power) in Dover, Ohio
Job Summary The Director, Product Management - Americas (AC Power)will provide leadership, structure, and strategic direction to drive growth and profitability of the AC Power Americas Business. The role will provide direct input to the Global AC Power business leadership teams and regional cross functional business leaders including Vertiv's Americas President. This role requires regular interaction with customers to understand their needs and challenges including internal Vertiv sales and operations leaders. The position will be responsible for maintaining current business and market metrics in addition to developing effective methods for communicating trends or changes in the market to the Global Business teams. This position has direct responsibility for financial evaluation of strategic sales opportunities and to ensure accuracy of the demand, sales and operations planning activities within the region. A potential candidate should be inquisitive and driven to understand the details impacting business performance while utilizing knowledge of customers and markets for strategic business decisions. This role will report directly to the SVP AC Power, and be based onsite at our Delaware, OH location. Responsibilities: * Provide direction and organizational leadership to Product Managers, Business Analysts and Product Marketing associates within the department. * Gain deep insight into the market and business trends and evaluation of Vertiv current business results. * Utilize business and market performance metrics to make informed decisions regarding product and industry trends effecting the business. * Lead monthly business performance reviews with cross functional leadership. * Identify trends in performance and areas for change/focus within the America's business to drive results. * Establish and maintain annual business performance goals in alignment with Global Product Management leaders. * Lead quarterly regional cross functional business interlock meetings in coordination with Global Business leadership including orders, pipeline, win rate and other related information. * Research market trends, industry trends, and competitive landscape. * Defining product portfolio needs, go to market strategy and provide direction to the global product development roadmap based on market research and customer feedback. * Track and provide offering trend analysis and insights to the Product Marketing and Global Product Management teams. * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related technical degree * Master's Degree in Business Administration is preferred. * 7-10+ years relevant experience managing teams in product management and product marketing functions * Background and experience with critical power infrastructure environments, experience with electronic devices and/or data center industry is a plus. * Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. * Positive, goal-oriented, data-driven, and reliable with strong attention to detail * Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and other business applications * * Travel as required, approximately 10%, including participation in trade shows and key customer visits About Vertiv Vertiv is a $6.8 billion global critical infrastructure and data center technology company.
