Position : Loan Resolution (Collections) Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:

  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of collectors.

  • Monitor and review collectors’ work queues, assignments, and performance.

  • Train, coach, and mentor newly hired collectors, ensuring their integration and adherence to performance standards.

Performance Management and Reporting:

  • Assist in the development and preparation of weekly delinquency reports by collector.

  • Support the Director in monitoring delinquency and charge-off trends, providing insights for strategic adjustments.

  • Collaborate with the Director to develop and execute Partner Success Plans.

Decision-Making and Approvals:

  • Review and approve accounts for legal action, repossession, and charge-offs.

  • Evaluate and approve special account arrangements, including settlement agreements, payment extensions, due date changes, and account re-writes.

  • Oversee updates to credit bureau records and monitor collateral sale processes.

Member and Stakeholder Support:

  • Resolve escalated member complaints and inquiries.

  • Serve as a liaison between the collections department and other branches, departments, or external vendors.

  • Facilitate seamless communication and service delivery within the organization.

Operational Administration:

  • Maintain accurate records of employee time off, including vacation, sick leave, and tardiness.

  • Assist upper management with special reports, projects, and assignments as needed.

  • Actively participate in identifying and addressing concerns or potential policy violations.

Other Duties:

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director to support departmental goals and organizational success.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
