About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager - Mixologist to join Jumeirah Burj Al Arab . The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Manages day to day operation of the bar thus ensuring all service standards are met in line with standard operating procedure and they are followed in courteous yet professional manner thus providing delightful and engaging services to all guests.

  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all Guests are served as per the brand standard. Assist the Outlet Manager in continuously growing the business.

  • Ensures all resources for an efficient operation are in place; takes routine inventories and re-orders operating supplies when necessary.

  • Have impeccable knowledge of all products in the portfolio and can make all drinks according to brand standards.

  • Have a good knowledge of all beverages beyond those stocked in the restaurant and a working knowledge of classic cocktails and drinks.

  • Offer assistance to colleagues when required, to ensure designated work goals are met.

  • Identify & meet customer needs and expectations correctly, including those with special needs, and provide appropriate products, services or information.

  • Identify and take all opportunities to enhance the quality of service.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in the same position in a restaurant sector: within a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or upscale bar setting.

  • Fluent in English - additional languages are a plus.

  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications: Micros and Sevenrooms

  • Extensive wine, cocktails and beverage knowledge.
