About The Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join Finance Department in Jumeirah Living World Trade Center Residence. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Main Duties:

  • Receive all invoices from the receiving department daily, along with supporting documents for goods received, and verify their accuracy against purchase orders.

  • Validate and approve invoices on the Tahweel portal.

  • Follow up on statements of account from suppliers.

  • Prepare all government payments before the deadline.

  • Prepare all utility payments (DEWA, DU, Etisalat) before the deadline.

  • Reconcile payments against supplier statements of account.

  • Process payments for all local suppliers' final dues through an escrow bank account, attaching related documents and invoices for reference.

  • Monitor and control aging reports.

  • Assist colleagues in Receiving or Cost Control as needed.

  • Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by management.

  • Handle all areas of accounts payable and adapt to changes as dictated by the hotel.

  • Address creditors' queries regarding invoices and payments promptly and professionally.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Experience working in a similar role for 3 years or more.

  • Experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage.

  • Proficient in English communication and computer skills particularly MS applications.

  • Ability to converse & communicate with internal & external guests with confidence.

  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures.
