We are seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, from commercial and residential spaces to hospitality and retail environments. As an Interior Designer at Stantec, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that will shape the built environment in Dubai and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to develop innovative and functional interior design concepts

• Create detailed design drawings, 3D models, and renderings

• Select and specify furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes

• Prepare and present design proposals to clients

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design integrity and project success

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources

• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in design technology

• Mentor and guide junior designers in their professional development

Qualifications:

• BA minimum in Interior Design, Architecture or Relevant Engineering Field

• 2 years minimum with 1 Years GCC experience in a reputable design studio

• Creative designer with flair and some technical knowledge to manage a project from concept through to construction documentation, under supervision from the Senior Interior Designer.

• Varied project type experience is an advantage specifically Education, Healthcare, Corporate workspace, Hospitality. (Preference will be given to healthcare experience).

• Good verbal and written Communication Skills.

• Must be confident when presenting to others and the client (when required).

• Must be able to review ID design packages, review and coordinate with other discipline packages and prepare a drawing package for discussion with the Senior Designer.

• Space planning skills are required, and an element of hand-drawing ability to quickly sketch ideas when required.

• Ambition is required, to have the confidence to discuss and challenge the interior space in group brainstorms or when designing and propose alternative solutions if necessary to meet the project brief.

• Understanding and working knowledge of Revit is mandatory. Work alongside the Interior BIM Coordinator to ensure quality of output by the team.

• Guide and work with junior team members and interns when necessary.

• A good understanding of typical ID deliverables and scope is essential. Knowledge of local codes and best practice compliance.

• Can manage day to day workload within the project team to reach the project completion.

• Must have a basic understanding of project costs/BOQ to make suitable design decisions.

• Technical knowledge is important interior construction detailing, , understanding of construction language, be aware of the responsibilities of third-parties, etc.

• Site inspection experience is an advantage.

Software Proficiency: Revit (mandatory), AutoCAD, BIM360, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and SketchUp.

Sustainability: Must be aware of sustainable design principles, to allow compliance with LEED and WELL standards where applicable, under the supervision of the relevant leaders.
