Job Description

As a Construction Project Manager you will be expected to work with a Senior Project Manager, Associate or Director to successfully manage, coordinate and deliver projects.

The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception, through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase.

The Project Manager will be expected to

  1. Work with other member of the project management team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects.

  2. Act as the key day to day client interface ensuring that client objectives are met.

  3. Lead project management commissions taking overall responsibility for their successful delivery

  4. Liaise directly with clients, oversee project management team members with their duties

  5. Ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time

  6. Planning, directing and supervising all operations included in moderately sized projects with moderate risk, complexity and financial impact

  7. Have a passion for first class service deliver, implementing best practice and continuous improvement and promoting AECOM externally.

  8. Build on our portfolio of major blue-chip clients and high-profile projects

  9. Supporting the development of proposal for new work

  10. Be specifically responsible for delegated business development / marketing objectives

  11. Contribute to the overall operational running of the AECOM project management team

Qualifications

  1. Related degree or Masters – ideally Project Management / Construction / Engineering / Quantity Surveying

  2. Enthusiastic self-starter looking to progress their career

  3. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a wider team

  4. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.

  5. Strong experience of delivering technically complex projects.

  6. Proven track record of delivering technically complex construction projects from inception to completion.

  7. Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or with a client organisation.

  8. Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills

  9. Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes.

  10. Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processes.
