Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager in Dublin, Ireland

Join the Microsoft 365 Service Communications team within the Experiences & Devices division and help us empower customers through timely, targeted and actionable communication. Our team provides the platform and customer experiences enabling Microsoft product teams to communicate directly with customers and support them in efficiently managing changes, realizing product value and understanding issues impacting their productivity. We partner with teams across Microsoft to deliver best-in-class customer communication solutions efficiently and at scale.

As a P roduct M anager on our Service Communications team, you will play a key role in delivering customer communication solutions across our product offerings. You’ll work closely with other PMs and key partner teams across Microsoft to understand our customer’s unmet needs, design the desired feature sets and outcomes which meet those needs and work closely with engineering to deliver on the roadmap while measuring the impact along the way.

Responsibilities

  • You will develop a deep understanding of the customer communication space, identifying customers’ unmet needs and market opportunities through direct customer engagements and working closely with partners, research and design. You will also formulate and test hypotheses to validate your assumptions and learn from customer feedback.

  • You will drive clarity of the customer and business problems, define key metrics to track progress and results, and explore solutions across a feature area while partnering with other PMs and engineering partners to build the roadmap, identify short term opportunities, evaluate tradeoffs and prioritize investments.

  • You will drive product strategy & roadmap, propose product ideas, deliver feature specs, ship features and data analysis post launch.

  • You will engage & partner with both internal and external customers to define and align product strategy and coherent customer experience and story.

  • You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements for a feature area, partner closely with design on customer experience, enable engineering to execute on your feature areas, and drive effective collaboration to enable partner dependencies.

  • You will drive customer adoption of your feature areas by facilitating onboarding, organizing and presenting customer demos, and partnering with Product Marketing and Support.

  • You will measure the impact of your feature areas on customer satisfaction, productivity, and business outcomes, and use data and feedback to iterate and improve your solutions over time.

  • You will present to execs and speak at customer conferences for product launch, collect feedback, and engage customers along the product journey.

Qualifications

Required Q ualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.

  • Productmanagement experience.

Other Requirements:

The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.  These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND experience in product/service/project/program management

  • OR software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Strong technical background with an ability to rapidly learn new technologies.

  • Experience with customer-driven engineering andthe cross-team collaboration it takes to delight our customers.

  • Translate ideas into reality by writing quality specifications and driving results throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

  • Comfortable making hard decisions using a blend of quantitative and qualitative inputs.

  • Experience with iterative development and the full software cycle of requirements, design, coding/testing, rollout/deploy standard methodologies in delivering outstanding software and services. 

  • Exceptional written, spoken communication and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated success collaborating across geographically distributed teams.

  • Manage ambiguity and a rapidly changing business environment.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
