Field Service Manager

Ensuring Chart’s Success…

This role is responsible for managing the field service activities for the Chart Water businesses.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

• Directs field service personnel performing on-site services, such as startups,commissioning Chart Water systems, and repair of customer equipmentand machinery.

• Performs supervisory duties associated with safety and technical training, staffing and performance management.

• Troubleshoots service and field failures until the issue is resolved and follows up with customers for quality assurance and feedback.

• Manages service contracts, associated documentation and system warranty claims.

• Travels withfield service technicians to inspect work and provide feedback.

• 25% travel required.

Your Education Should Be…

High school diploma or GED is required. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

This position requires standing, walking, working on a computer. Occasionally, the employee will bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and ladder climb. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This role will travel to job sites approximately 25% of the time.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

• A minimum of 6 years of related experience, of which 2 years must be in a managerial role.

• General knowledge should include PLC based industrial automation.

• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, plumbing and mechanical piping repair.

• Working knowledge of drinking and process water treatment systems, membrane filters, components, a plus.

• Customer service focus.

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and projects.

• This role may require working weekends and odd hours and will require travel up to 25%.
