We are looking for a new colleague to drive growth at Life Solutions in EMEA. This position is part of the EMEA sales team of the market cluster Life Solutions at the GBU Specialty Polymers. Life Solutions caters to a set of markets including Healthcare, Consumer Goods, Construction, Environment and Packaging.

You will be focused on identifying and developing new application projects with new and existing customers. You are expected to spend 70-80% of your time on Business Development and the remaining on Key Account Management activities for your existing portfolio of customers.

The market scope will mainly cover the Construction Market, where we want to strengthen our current position and expand into new segments like heat pumps.

This position reports to the Sales Director in the Region.

We count on you for:

  • Drive and “hunger” to find and address unmet customer needs

  • Serving as the main point of contact for key accounts and developing of new opportunities in the market

  • Effective project management in introducing polymer solutions at (potential) customers with the support of a multidisciplinary team

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers through proactive communication and regular visits to discuss commercial opportunities

  • Build, improve and share knowledge about products, applications and markets in the industry, incl. competition, market trends/evolution, regulatory etc

  • Develop, negotiate and monitor contracts and pricing strategy for new and existing business opportunities

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other internal departments to assure customer requests/demands are addressed and resolved

You will bring:

  • 5-10 years of commercial-,marketing- or technical experience in an industrial company

  • BA or BS degree in a related technical field (engineering, chemistry, material science, etc.). MBA a plus

  • Strong marketing and sales in a specialty polymer environment preferred

  • Demonstrated track record of successful business development and negotiation

  • Ability to influence and forge strong relationships at multiple levels at the customer organization or in the Business Unit

  • Excellent communication- and collaborative skills

Additional information:

  • The Position Holder is expected to travel 50 % of the time

  • Remote- / home working possible, not mandatory

  • Proficiency of German language is a strong advantage
